Dr Tim Peters
Dr Tim Peters’ background is in bioinformatics and applied statistics. He completed a PhD on the principles of statistical learning for transcriptomic data in the Department of Statistics at Macquarie University in 2012.
He has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIRO on the EpiSCOPE project: mapping the epigenetic terrain of human adipocytes, performing statistical analyses for human EWASs (epigenome wide association studies) and has published a novel method for statistical inference of whole-methylome data. In addition, he has spoken at a number of national and international conferences, including an oral presentation at the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in Washington, DC.
